چکیده

The resonance Raman excitation profiles and depolarization dispersions for totally symmetric vibrations are studied under the energy region corresponding to an excitation of two low-energy states of 4-nitro-4'-diethylaminoazobenzene dye. Ιn a contrast to the earlier analysis of this dye we assume that the low-energy states of the molecule studied have different polarizations. It results in the depolarization dispersions of the Raman lines of totally symmetric vibrations. The effect is illustrated for two vibrations: V4 = 1342 cm-1 and ν7 = 1448 cm -1 for which excitation profiles show . distinctive intensity distribution patterns due to interferences between the vibrational manifołds of the overlapping states. The nature of the electronic (resonant) states and the magnitudes of Franck-Condon parameters determined from the experiment are also briefly discussed. PACS numbers: 33.20.Fb

Polarization-Sensitive Resonance CSRS of Deoxy- and Oxyhaemoglobin

Polarization-semitive coherent Stokes Raman scattering (CSRS) measurements of oxyand deoxyhaemoglobin in aqueous solutions are reported. The excitation wavelengths used were chosen in the region of the Q absorption bands to achieve twofold electronic resonance. The dispersion profiles of all independent susceptibility x(3 ) components and purely anisotropic and anti-symmetric scattering contrib...

Copic Evidence for an Iron - Chlorin Prosthetic

The green heme protein sulfmyoglobin (SMb) has been suggested to contain a sulfur-modified iron chlorin prosthetic group. To evaluate this hypothesis, we have obtained high-frequency (71000 cm”) resonance Raman spectra of both oxidized and reduced SMb with 457.9-, 488.0-, 5 1 4 5 , 568.2-, and 647.1nm excitation. The SMb spectra are compared to those of native metand deoxymyoglobin (Mb). Vib...

Theoretical Study on Resonance Raman Spectra of Tetraoxaporphyrin Dication by TDDFT Calculation

The B state excited resonance Raman scattering of tetraoxaporphyrin dication (TOP) was theoretically studied with DFT/TDDFT calculations and the sum-over-states approach of polarizability including both the A and B terms contributions. The resonance Raman spectra calculated with PBE1PBE, B3LYP, Cam-B3LYP, and B3LYP-D3 functionals are similar to each other in general, with PBE1PBE and B3LYP bein...

Raman spectroscopic determination of the structure and orientation of organic monolayers chemisorbed on carbon electrode surfaces.

Azobenzene (AB) and 4-nitroazobenzene (NAB) were covalently bonded to carbon surfaces by electrochemical reduction of their diazonium derivatives. The N(1s) features of XPS spectra of modified surfaces had intensities expected for monolayer coverage. However, the Raman spectra were significantly more intense than expected, implying an increase in scattering cross section upon chemisorption. A l...

Synthesis of Some New Disperse Dyes-multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes Adducts and Impact Analysis of Substituents

We have reported here a simple, low cost preparation of four new adducts from some anthraquinone disperse dyes with functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes in the presence of azochromophore. The structural differences between the final products are evaluated by visual dispersion test, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Fourier transforms infrared, Raman, nuclear magnetic resonance and thermal gravimetri...
